Anomaly Vineyards

A Berkeley, California transplant's view of becoming an Accidental Vintner.

Something smells fishy

So, going organic, we are not putting any products that have not been approved by the CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) on our vines. Yesterday, Neil Wight (good friend of our son, Chris, and more importantly, son of our vineyard manager, Doug Wight) was out in the vineyard putting a fish emulsion mixture into our drip system that waters the vineyard. You could almost see the vines pushing out more deep green shoots as the nutrients went into their roots. Speaking of organics, we just saw the award-winning documentary, The Real Dirt on Farmer John. It is a phenomenal movie - check out their website at www.angelicorganics.com to learn more about it!
