Anomaly Vineyards

Today was the barrel tasting portion of the Napa Valley Wine Auction, now re-named Auction Napa Valley. Vintners who are members of the Napa Valley Vintners Association (we are not at this time) give tastes to attendees of their current vintage in barrel - yes, they actually bring their barrels to the site (this year at Sutter Home Winery) and "thief" out tastes. Our favorite, I know I shouldn't say, but I'm going to: D.R. Stephens. Their 2004 Cabernet is incredible - and it's not yet even in bottle.
